Amchoor, aamchur, or amchur, also known as mango powder, is a citrus-flavored spice powder prepared from dried, unripe green mangoes. Most of it is made in India. Amchoor is a common flavouring ingredient used in Indian cuisine to impart a sour, tangy, fruity flavour without adding moisture. It is used to flavour stews and soups, fruit salads and pastries, curries, chutneys, pickles, and dals, as well as the stuffing for samosas and pakoras.
